That's so cute...I didn't think she could sing anymore after that surgery that messed up her vocal chords...shows you what I know!

From what I understand, she can, but just chooses not to (for the most part). She sang a little in Princess Diaries II, but they lowered the range for the song a bit ... she now sounds a bit more "throaty", but her voice is still lovely.

I'm going to pinch this.

I love Julie Andrews. But this never happened according to snopes.com. She lost her ability to sing in 1997 after her throat surgery. The doctors botched the surgery.

well whether she sang this or not, she is singing again and has done so on film.

Actually, that's not entirely true, Barb. She has nowhere near the range she had before and can't go high like she used to ... I've read that she doesn't like to sing like she used to, but she does a little, as she did in the 'Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement' movie.

However, whether she actually sang *this* song or not, it's still a funny rendition of the song. ;)

Think About It ...

  • **GANDALF THE WHITE said...
"Other evils there are that may come... Yet it is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succor of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule"
  • **JOHN STUART MILL SAID**...
"A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight; nothing he cares about more than his own personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by exertions of better men than himself."
