Gotta love that Michelle Malkin. She keeps us all on our toes ... courtesy of one of her recent posts ...
Ok, years from now, when people have lost their right to keep and bear arms (remember the good 'ole second amendment anyone?) because they didn't bother to stand up and fight for it, remember that it started in San Francisco, when their proposed ban on handguns passed. (Ok, to set the record straght, Washington and Chicago actually passed similar measures first, but we all know 'Frisco for the bastion of liberalism that it is ... such a close neighbor to Berzerkley and all.)
The average citizen may be too clueless to step up to the plate and fight to keep this right, but Of Arms and the Law notes that the NRA and their second amendment loving supporters are willing to file suite.
The most ironic thing about this, though, as reported by Neal Boortz, is that the deadline for turning in handguns is April 1, 2006, which would be known to you and me as April Fool's Day. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all woke up tomorrow morning and found that someone was pulling the joke early?
