The six muslim imams who were removed from a US Airways plane last week have cried foul! ... I believe they claimed they were deplaned for "flying while muslim".
Of course, our nation is "sensitive" (to anyone who isn't a Christian, that is), so many of them have joined the chorus and are now crying "foul" and "intolerance" on behalf of these imams. The imams swear that they were just doing their evening prayers and that people are islamophobes and discriminatory, so they had them thrown off the plane.
Well, that's not exactly the whole story. Mr2ears alerted me to a Drudge Report post of an AP article that gives a lot more detail.
My personal opinion is that the dust-up had a two-fold purpose.
- It's yet another "dry run" to push the security envelope to see which behaviors and which types of muslims will be noticed and questioned.
- Get CAIR involved because they are islamic pitbulls who refuse to let go of an issue until they prevail, and in this case they'll try to work it to the point that muslims aren't able to be questioned at all.
Yes, let's engage in some really stupid behavior and then squeal like a bunch of stuck pigs. Hmm...are they allowed to do that? Wouldn't that violate some fundamental tenet of sharia law or something? I dunno, just askin'.
