So you support criminal behavior?
This happened several years ago. I don't know the outcome, but the guy who cut the flag down committed a crime.

I don't care when the incident took place. The guy who cut hung the American flag *below* the Mexican flag *on US Soil* committed a crime.
Do *YOU* support criminal behavior???

Actually, MizDi, hanging the U.S. flag below the Mexican flag is a violation of the Flag Code, but it's not a criminal violation.
But destroying another person's property without their permission, and going on that person's property to do it, is nearly always a crime.
Unfortunately, the victims didn't press charges. They may have felt intimidated.
Again, you're shown your true stripes--you support illegal behavior as long as it's in support of your agenda. Real nice.

He did the right thing. You just can't stand by and let people walk all over you.
If some folks prefer the Mexican flag, then there are plenty of places where they can fly it without complaint: Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana, Acapulco, ...
My only complaint is that he doesn't keep his knife sharp enough.

I see, ZZMike, so you support illegal behavior and destruction of property as long as it's in support of a cause with which you agree. Nice.
Funny, nobody on the right has thought of the possibility of going in to the shop and having a discussion with the owner about proper flag protocol.
So, is it okay if I spray paint over McCain/Palin bumper stickers? Can I break the windows of cars that have traitorous Confederate flags?

"Funny, nobody on the right has thought of the possibility of going in to the shop and having a discussion with the owner about proper flag protocol. "
Probably because they figured that having a long discussion in Spanish about the American flag would be pointless.
"Can I break the windows of cars that have traitorous Confederate flags?"
We're talking about the country here. The flag "stands for" the country (you may not have heard that line before). Respect the country, respect the flag.
Or get out.

So, ZZMike, here is some more of the Flag Code:
§ 7. Position and manner of display
(b) The flag should not be draped over the hood, top, sides, or back of a vehicle or of a railroad train or a boat. When the flag is displayed on a motorcar, the staff shall be fixed firmly to the chassis or clamped to the right fender.
§ 8. Respect for flag
(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free.
(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkin or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.
--------------------
Let's see, after the attacks of September 11, 2001 there were lots of cars violating 7b. Would have supported people ripping inappropriately displayed flags off of cars?
I have seen numerous articles of clothing, including running shorts, using the flag. Would you support people ripping those clothes off of strangers?
I have also seen numerous uses of the flag in advertising. What is the appropriate action against those businesses?

ZZMike,
You didn't answer my question about Confederate Flags--they represent a groups of traitors to this country, so it is disrespectful to this country to display it. So, is it okay if I break the windows of cars that display it? Shouldn't those people "get out", too?
