There is so much documentation already showing that the "progressive" left has been doing this going back to the 1920s, yet the elites will have nothing to do with it... mostly because many of the elites have been part of the problem.

As David Horowitz documents in several of his books, elite universities have been taken over by outright socialists for many years - and it is these universities that act as the breeding ground for all our pedigreed leaders. Which is, of course, why leaders who hail from schools in places like Idaho, or Eureka, Illinois, are so mocked and ridiculed: they aren't part of the elite Yale-Harvard-Columbia-Georgetown bloc.

Look up the Congressional record on goals of communism in the U.S. - this was actually entered into the Congressional record back in the early 60s and rings eerily prescient. Yet, it is all but ignored now.

And then don't even get me started on the Venona Project!

"... there is an active plan at work to subvert our country with the goal of converting it to a Leninist/Marxist state..."

It's been going on for at least 40 years. It started around the time of John Dewey (who took the public school system and turned it into that wonderful institution we have today.

Gullybord understands it. You can read the dreary story of how they've broken education here in Diane Ravitch's "Left Back : A Century of Failed School Reforms".

One of the "early adopters" of Marxism/Leninism was Antonio Gramsci, who spent much of his life in prison, but wrote important books in the theory of communism. He believed that there wouldn't be any progress (as in "progressive") until society got rid of religion, and made things like the family and the education system instruments of the State.

He was a strong Communist, and was jailed by Mussolini's Fascist state.

According to Wiki, those he influenced include Noam Chomsky, Michel Foucault, Edward Said, Howard Zinn, and a host of the usual suspects.

"... elite universities have been taken over by outright socialists ..."

Most of the demonstrators of the 60s are now tenured professors - like Bill Ayres and Bernardine Dohrn.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. Abraham Lincoln.

Where an excess of power prevails, prosperity of no sort is duly respected. No man is safe in his opinions, his person, his faculties, or his possessions. James Madison.

A nation can survive its fools, even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. The traitor appears not a traitor. He rots the soul of a nation. He infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. Cicero

These men were absolutely correct in what they wrote. But they also were predicting that which we are experiencing today under the Obama administration. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them. And this cabal of petty Marxists in Washington is afraid of us, but will never admit it nor will they back down until they have done all they can to destroy this country, its Constitution, its military, its capitalist society, and, indeed, its will.

Think About It ...

  • **GANDALF THE WHITE said...
"Other evils there are that may come... Yet it is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succor of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule"
"A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight; nothing he cares about more than his own personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by exertions of better men than himself."
